Advanced courses (3 h) to be taught on September 30th:

 

ecotoxicology of amphibians and reptiles

(lecturers: Manuel Ortiz-Santaliestra, Miguel Ángel Carretero and Isabel Lopes)

Provide an updated review and synthesis of the current state of ecotoxicology of contaminants and ecological risk assessment in amphibians and reptiles. It will also give an overview on methodological and procedural aspects, such as experimental designs, generation of toxicological data, and topics on welfare of laboratory amphibians and reptiles.

The goal of this short course is to introduce the students to the theoretical background of Ecological Niche Modelling (ENM). Students will learn the base theory of ENM, and the most important methodologies to perform ecological niche models.
