Biologist, specialisation in Ecology and Zoologic Resources, at the Faculty of Sciences of University of Porto in 1993.

Professional activity: Senior Technician of the National Authority for Nature Conservation (SNPRCN, ICN, ICNB) from January 1, 1994. Worked in the Natural Reserve of Serra da Malcata , Peneda Gerês and in the Direction of the Nature Conservation National Park Services as senior technician.

June 2007 to March 2008 - Deputy Director of the Department of Management Hazardous Areas North . Since December 2012 , Chief of the Division of Planning and Project Evaluation Department of Nature Conservation and Forestry of Northern ICNF.

Representative of Portugal as an expert on Biodiversity and Climate Change under the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and the European Union from September 2006 to July 2008.

More relevant professional experience - Under the functions and exercised leadership positions in the Public Administration, has developed activities in the field of nature conservation areas and biodiversity - knowledge projects, monitoring and restoring natural heritage, spatial planning, environmental impact assessment, guidance internships, trainer, geographic information systems and is the author and editor of several scientific publications and of dissemination in the field of Biodiversity.
